A man has been rushed to hospital following a crash with a 'large' tipper truck this morning.

Police were called to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a lorry at the junction of Dunsford Road and Plough Lane, at around 07.28pm.

Emergency services attended and a man was rushed to a major trauma centre.

An eyewitness said: "A cyclist was clearly underneath a large tipper truck who was making a left turn from Gap Road onto Durnsford Rd.

"It was pretty apparent that onlookers and other motorists were very distressed by what they saw.

"The emergency services were doing all they could and I sincerely hope the cyclist is ok."
