STAFF at Norwood Green Care Home in Southall are giving wildflower seeds to people in the community to celebrate national Care Home Open Day next Friday (26).

They say they have been overwhelmed by the kindness shown by neighbours and residents’ families during the COVID-19 crisis.

Home manager Salvador Firtascu said: “We have a fantastic team here and our residents are coping very well under the circumstances, but the community support shown is really helping us to get through these difficult times together.

“As a way of thanking everyone, we have prepared wildflower seeds as a symbol of our appreciation and hope for the future.”

The seeds will be placed outside the entrance in Tentelow Lane from Friday and people are invited to take one.

“A small gift from us to the community,” said Mr Firtascu.
