Lockdown projects: the Ealing store is experiencing a surge in demand
AN Ealing decorating and hardware merchant will extend its opening hours from Monday after reporting a surge in demand from tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts.
Leyland SDM, on The Mall, will open from 7am-6pm, Monday to Friday, from 7.30am-5pm on a Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sundays. The new opening hours will come into force on June 1.
Research shows that more than 60 per cent of people have started a DIY project during lockdown .
Distancing guidelines have been introduced, while a contact-free delivery service is proving popular.
