POLICE have arrested two men following a moped robbery in West Ealing.
They became involved at around 6pm on Sunday (29) after someone reported his moped had been stolen from him in Kirchen Road.
He told officers a car pulled up and the occupants threatened him with baseball bats and a knife before one of them rode off on the moped.
The car’s description was circulated and it was tracked to Fulham around an hour later when police managed to box it in on Pearscroft Road, avoiding the need for a pursuit.
Two men, aged 21, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, one of them also for having an offensive weapon, a lock knife. Both are still in custody.

Sgt Tony McGovern, of Operation Venice, the Met’s moped theft taskforce, said: “[We] will continue to identify and pursue those intent on committing brazen and violent crimes on the streets of London.”
