Two further patients with Covid-19 have died at Northwick Park Hospital, following three other recent deaths.

The two patients were being cared for at the hospital in Harrow, which is run by the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

This makes a total of six deaths for patients with Covid-19 at the hospital after the first confirmed death at the hospital on March 14.

NHS England confirmed that 29 more people in the country who contracted the virus have died in the past 24 hours, bringing the total confirmed deaths in England to 137.

A statement from NHS England said: “A further 29 people who tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in England to 128.

“Patients were aged between 47 and 96 years old and had underlying health conditions.

“Their families have been informed.”

Among the 29 deaths, two of which were from the North Middlesex University Hospital.

As of 9am yesterday (March 18), there are 40 confirmed cases in Harrow and 42 in its neighbouring borough, Brent.
