Two men, a 36-year-old from South Oxhey, and a 32-year-old-man from Watford were arrested on Thursday on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

They have both been released under investigation.

Sergeant Dan Amos, who leads the Oxhey safer neighbourhood team, said the raids were in response to concerns raised within the South Oxhey community.

He said: "This high-visibility disruptive action is a signal to the community that we are listening to their concerns and will not hesitate to take action against those who choose to engage in drug activity.

"We know drugs, and the associated crime and anti-social behaviour, can be a huge blight on the lives of residents living nearby and we are committed to tackling these issues head-on with the support of our partners, including Three Rivers District Council.

"These warrants are just one part of our ongoing fight against drug activity in South Oxhey and we will continue to share information with partners to ensure offenders are brought to justice, and vulnerable members of the community are safeguarded.

"If you suspect drugs activity in your street, please don’t hesitate to provide us with information so we can gather evidence and take robust action."
