Leon Greening Quartet

Leon Greening originally studied piano at Leeds College of Music and the Guildhall. His extraordinary solos, inspired by the likes of Wynton Kelly and Bud Powell, keep the audience on the edge of their seats and mark him out as one of the finest pianists this country has ever produced. His hard swinging style has made him a favourite on the UK jazz circuit for well over two decades.

Live at the Alban Arena

Live at the Alban Arena is your chance to see TV comedy stars you know and love, alongside discovering some new favourites destined to become stars of the future. First up, there’s Reginald D Hunter. The US-born funnyman is well-known for his TV appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, QI and Have I Got News For You? Seann Walsh will also be performing. A natural motor-mouth, he became the winner of the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year prize within two years of his first performance. Hosting the evening is Mock The Week’s Angela Barnes, plus two fantastic up-and-coming acts, Sara Barron and Tom Ward.

Handley Page

Iconic aviation company Handley Page manufactured aeroplanes locally for over 60 years, creating aircraft that aided the Allied effort in both World Wars. Working with the Handley Page Association, a new exhibition opens in the Keepers Galleries about the company. Learn about some of the incredible planes and pieces of equipment they invented, and discover some fascinating stories including the first man to break the speed of sound backwards.
