SOUTHALL will have its first Ahmadiyya Muslim mosque officially opened this Sunday (23) by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The ceremony will be attended by more than 400 guests representing the major faiths as well as MPs and representatives from the community.
The mosque is to be named Darus Salam Mosque, meaning ‘Abode of Peace’.
The mosque in Boyd Avenue will have a capacity of 220 worshippers and features a community hall and a library.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is self-funded and the mosque was built entirely with funds raised by members.
