The average value of homes in Hertfordshire increased during 2019, but which areas have the highest value?

Property company Zoopla has revealed that the average value of homes in Hertfordshire grew in the last year by 1.48 per cent in the last 12 months.

The average value of houses increased in the county during 2019, with the average housing value being at £505,203.

Even Britain’s general housing market saw an increase on the average property value, with the total value increased by £124 billion across 2019 – an increase of 1.6%.

1) Radlett

Houses in Radlett were of the highest average value in Hertfordshire.

According to Zoopla, the average price paid for a house was £891,236 and the average value being £1,016903.

Value prices increased by £58,593 with an increase of 6.11 per cent.

2) Harpenden

Harpenden ranked second in Hertfordshire areas with the most valued houses.

The average price paid for a house was £782,654, with the property value estimated at £55,742.

There was an increase by 5.73 per cent.

3) Rickmansworth

At Rickmansworth, the average paid house was £631,136.

Property value was estimated to be around £740,238 with an increase of 5.44 per cent.

4) St Albans

In St Albans, the average price for houses was £557,431.

On average, houses were valued at £601,402, with an increase of 2.02 per cent.

5) Potters Bar

The average price paid for a house at Potters Bar was £543,711.

On average, houses valued for £586,404 with a significantly less increase of 0.33 per cent.

6) Bushey

On average, Bushey houses were around £498,636.

The value for houses were around £579,717 with an increase of 1.49 per cent.

7) Abbots Langley

Houses in Abbots Langley were around £435,948.

On average the houses were valued at £492,425, with a significant increase of 4.50 per cent.

8) Borehamwood

Borehamwood houses went for £452,991 on average.

The value of these houses was around £488,521, there was an increase in value of 2.62 per cent.

9) Watford

In Watford, the average house price is £419,835.

Houses were valued at £432,078 with an increase of 2.47 per cent.

10) Hemel Hempstead

House prices at Hemel Hempstead were much lower than many other areas in Hertfordshire, with the average price being £371,122.

On average, the house values were estimated to be around £395,056, with a slight increase of 0.53 per cent.
