THREE sixth-form students from St Augustine’s Priory, the Ealing Catholic independent day school for girls, are in the national final of the UK Space Design Competition.

Open to students from Years 10 to 13, it aims to enable students to experience the opportunities available through future study, or even a career, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).

Angela Shan, Kat Dorn and Naomi Jeffries worked to a demanding brief and produced a video which showed how they would design a transport system on Mercury.

Their expertise in maths computations, physics and design enabled them to produce a video to be shown at Imperial College on March 14-15 with four other video winners plus regional heat winners.
