FATHER Christmas and his elves have finally arrived at intu Uxbridge, where they opened the doors to their grotto at the weekend – and families from Halo Children’s Foundation were the first to enjoy it.
Santa will be in place until Monday, December 23. The log cabin-style grotto can be found on the decking outside Zizzi in the centre’s Piazza area.
On Saturday, families from Halo, which helps children and their families after a bereavement, were invited along for a VIP experience. They also visited the Halo Memory Trees on the centre’s Lower Mall, where they wrote messages to lost loved ones.
Grotto tickets cost £5 per child, or £3 for under twos and all proceeds will be donated to Halo Children’s Foundation, intu Uxbridge’s Charity of the Year.
