EALING is putting itself at the cutting edge of music technology as it prepares to host a major international conference.

Innovation In Music 2019 (InMusic19) will be held at the University of West London’s Ealing campus from December 5-7 when experts will explore the future of music streaming, piracy and the perceived value of music.

Postgraduate music students will have the chance to take part in setting up and with work backstage.

Prof Nicholas McKay, Director of London College of Music at UWL, said: “Technology has long had a dramatic impact on how we make, experience and consume music.

“This is another way we can continue to offer a fascinating insight into the industry and keep us all at the cutting edge of new techniques, approaches and processes.”

The conference will also include more than 60 academic papers and a keynote address will be delivered by Trevor Horn, who has produced hits for Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Tom Jones and Robbie Williams.
