IT has long been the jewel in the crown of the Ealing arts scene and the Questors Theatre is now is just 10 years from its centenary.
To mark its 90th birthday this year, an anniversary gala followed an ambitious staging of George Orwell’s 1984, followed by a champagne reception.
Questors remains an amateur venue where everyone – set designers, props team, lighting, visuals and actors – volunteers.
Among those enjoying the festivities was the Labour candidate for Ealing Central and Acton, Rupa Huq, whose sister, TV’s Konnie Huq, learned her craft there in the 1990s.
