A TOTAL of 23 young people from across West Middlesex received Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards at the Waterman’s Theatre, Brentford on Tuesday.

It honoured winners aged 11-25 who received medallions to go with their framed certificate and a cheque for £250 each, already presented.

They were nominated by their peers and leaders for a variety of achievements big and small, but always for doing their best.

Girlguiding’s Middlesex South West region has received funding of £47,558 from the Foundation since funding started in 2012.

Winners included Hannah Lepper, 14, who is part of the North Ealing Senior Section (Rangers).

She is a committed young leader at 4th Ealing Brownies.

Having returned to guiding this year, she is involved in all unit activities at Rangers including their sleepover at the World Centre Pax Lodge.

She has already shown her commitment by attending Remembrance Parade with the brownies and offering to run games and activities.

Her £250 award will go towards an international summer trip for eight young people.
