A YOUNG Southall worker was crowned Best Plumbing Apprentice at the Berkeley Group Apprentice Awards.
Kian Cleere, 20, works at Southall Waterside for H2O, ensuring all plumbing and drainage meets expected standards expected on the former gasworks site.
This award came on the first anniversary the of the West London Construction Academy, based at the Southall site.
It is a collaboration between Berkeley and West London College, providing a mixture of on-the-job training and college-based learning.
Kian is one of more than 750 apprentices working on Berkeley sites.
He said: “It’s reassuring to get advice from colleagues who started as an apprentice like me and are now managing teams. In years to come, I hope to still be at Southall Waterside inspiring future apprentices.”
