GIRLS from St Augustine’s Priory, the independent Ealing school for girls, are producing apple juice from an orchard in the 13-acre grounds.
A visitor from the Heritage Fruit Tree Company recently gave advice on how to manage the apple and pear trees.
Pupils are pressing, crushing and pasteurising on equipment donated by the parents’ committee.
They are also learning that the trees at St Augustine’s provide lungs, not only for the school, but for Ealing.
