A motorcyclist has been left critically ill in hospital following a crash in north west London.

Police were called at 7.57pm on Friday, September 20, after a 43-year-old man collided with some benches in Gayton Road, Harrow as he was riding down the street.

The man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. His family are aware.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage of the incident to come forward.

Detective Constable Rob Simpson, investigating, said: "While at this stage we don't believe the motorcyclist collided directly with any other vehicles, we are asking for the driver of a light coloured Ford Fiesta to come forward.

“This vehicle was seen pulling away from the scene as the motorcyclist approached and the driver could have information that would assist us."

Anyone else who witnessed the incident, or who has dash cam footage, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit via 0208 246 9820.
