AN interpreter from Northolt has paid for the renovation of her second property by renting out her spare unused cars.

Through listing her unused vehicles on Drivy, Sana Shaikh makes up to £1,500 extra a month and so far has made £25,000.

She has now moved into the house and is preparing to sell her first home - something she never thought she would be able to do!

Sana first listed her personal car on car sharing apps two years ago after seeing an advertisement on Facebook.

Since then she has listed up to four cars on Drivy all fitted with Drivy Open Technology.

Drivy Open, a smart keyless technology, means vehicles are available instantly after booking and can be opened using the Drivy app, which means you can hire out a car and drive away in a matter of minutes.

Sana said: “I know that month-in, month-out, I will take at least £1,000 worth of bookings across my fleet – that’s a quiet month!

“My cars cost me around £350 per month to insure and tax so each month I’m confident

Katy Medlock, head of UK at Drivy, said: 'We hope to see more women enter the car sharing economy and reap the financial benefits.”

Drivy launched in London in 2017 and has almost 2000 cars available across London.
