AN Ealing woman is running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis after her diagnosis with it in February.
Nicky Cornelius, 40, has stayed positive and credits this in part to her job as a clinical psychologist.
“I have worked with people experiencing severe psychological distress, most of whom have experienced serious traumas and disadvantages,” she said.
“So, while having MS is not great, on a scale of the hardships that one can face I consider myself lucky.

“I try not to dwell on the possibility of disability. However quite often I think I might not be able to do ‘X’ in 10 years’ time, so I’ll do it now.”
Nicky will have three of her close friends running with her, while her parents, husband, children and many more friends will be supporting from the side lines.
