SUPPORT for Heathrow expansion remains strong in neighbouring communities, according to a new poll.
It is published at the close of Heathrow’s largest public consultation on expansion over a 12-week period.
Heathrow says the Populus findings show local support for expansion remains high, with more residents supporting the project than opposing in 16 of the 18 Parliamentary constituencies closest to the airport.

The results come as Heathrow’s statutory airport expansion consultation closes today (13).
It held more than 40 events supported by a campaign encouraging 2.6 million households in the footprint of the airport to have their say.
Heathrow says it will analyse the feedback and use it to shape its final plans for expansion.
It will form part of its initial planning application next year 2020, kick-starting the approvals process.
