Hotel employees have been busy collecting goods for a foodbank.
Staff at Village Hotel Club Watford, in Elstree, donated more than 300kg of food which was dropped off at Borehamwood Foodbank on Friday.
Coinciding with the United Nations' International Day of Charity, the collection of boxed, tinned, and dry food began on Monday with hotel members and gym-goers contributing.
Joel May, general manager at the hotel and who orchestrated the scheme, said: "Our local Village community have been incredible in raising such a great amount for the Borehamwood Foodbank. We’ve no doubt that these goods will make a vital difference to those that need it most and we’re so pleased that we’re able to give back to the community in any way that we can."
