STREET dance group Autism with Attitude, from Hillingdon Manor School, won the bronze medal at the United Dance Organisation World Championships in Blackpool.

The troupe, which previously made history by becoming the first special needs team to compete at international level, now ranks third globally in the Over 18 category.

Hillingdon Manor provides specialist education and support to pupils aged 3-19 with autism. Dance teacher Jonathan Baron founded the troupe in 2013 after students impressed at a talent show.

AwA faced competition from 15 other teams in the Over 18 category in the preliminary round, but impressed the judges so much with their stunning moves that they went straight through to the final.
