Almost 20 per cent of this year’s cohort have been offered Oxbridge places, with the majority opting for other Russell Group Universities, and some taking up places abroad - the US once again proving a popular destination.

Gus Lock, Headmaster, said: "I am immensely proud and delighted for the boys.

"They have worked tremendously hard, not only in preparing for examinations, but also on the sports pitches, on the drama stage, in the music hall, and on the many rewarding charity and community events and initiatives at Habs."

"Congratulations to each and every one of them for their outstanding results, to their parents and families for their support, and to the dedicated staff for their expert teaching and guidance.

"The boys have developed into confident, compassionate and responsible leaders and will go on to play a positive part in the world.

"I wish them all the very best for the future and look forward to welcoming them back to the school as alumni."
