Rock band Scouting for Girls will be performing a gig to raise money and awareness for music therapy.

The gig, which will be held at the Trinity pub in Harrow, will be one of 12 simultaneous gigs being held across the country as part of the Get Loud campaign by Nordoff Robbins, a music therapy centre in Highgate.

Scouting for Girls said: “We are so excited to play at the Trinity in Harrow again. It really is where it all started for Scouting for Girls.

“The work Nordoff Robbins does is truly admirable. Music is all about making connections – as a band we pride ourselves on getting the crowd involved as much as possible when we perform, so we know how that feels to really connect with people through music.”

Other acts in the charity’s campaign include performances by singers Frank Turner and Louise Rednapp.

Nordoff Robbins provides music therapy to those with life limiting illnesses and disabilities.

Julie Whelan, chief executive at Nordoff Robbins said: “Our Get Loud campaign gives us the chance to highlight the way in which music can truly enrich the lives of people facing some very difficult challenges, and promote the work we are doing in communities right across the UK.”

Tickets for the gigs are priced at £10, with all proceeds going to the charity. Buyers will also be given the option to add a donation to Nordoff Robbins.

All the gigs will be taking place on September 25, and the eclectic mix of artists have been chosen to celebrate the diversity within Nordoff Robbins.
