Police have confirmed they have found the driver involved in a collision with a three-year-old boy yesterday.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it has traced the motorist who left the scene in Elstree after a boy was hit by a vehicle.
There is no update on the boy's condition, which was serious but stable when he was taken to hospital.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances around what happened.
A witness told us that the boy was carried up Elstree Hill by an older girl before he was taken to Schopwick Surgery for medical care.
Elstree Hill was shut for most of the afternoon to allow police to carry out an investigation into what happened.
