EALING band Near Death Experience will be opening this year’s Ealing Blues Festival on Saturday, July 20, 1pm, on the South Stage.

The band formed in 2016 and rehearse in the restored St Mary‘s Church, where they also recorded their new album, Mouth To Mouth, due to be released on Charisma Bypass Records on July 12. Copies of the album will be available to buy at the festival.

Near Death Experience, who play a brand of indie rock and soul, have also been championing new local music through their Ealing Live initiative, which brings new and original artists into pubs.

They’ve also been using music to raise money for good causes by organising events, like the recent Oxjam Festival at The Castle pub in St Mary’s Road, which raised more than £400 for Oxfam.

Near Death Experience – NDX for short – have become known for their live performances at The Castle, The Grosvenor and The New Inn.
