A TOPPING-out ceremony for the West Works in Southall, a development by Redrow builders, marked completion of the top part of the apartment block.
It was attended by Southall MP Virendra Sharma, Ealing councillors, the site team, business owners and existing residents.
Simon Halfhide, sales director for the site, said: “Southall has been identified as an opportunity area and has received significant funding to create a clearly-defined town centre and, once it opens, will benefit from Crossrail.
“But it is not all about regeneration and new transport links. Southall is also a place of parks, trees, shopping, restaurants, arts and culture. There is a strong sense of history and community.”
West Works in Merrick Road will consist of 302 studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The first residents are due to move in over the next couple of weeks.
