EALING Jazz Festival has announced its full line-up for 2019, featuring Cymande alongside rising stars Ruby Rushton and Theon Cross.
Cymande reached cult status in the early 1970s with their exhilarating mix of reggae, funk and jazz. Following a premature exit from music in 1974, the group has become one of the most sampled black British bands ever.
Theon Cross, tuba player for jazz powerhouse Sons of Kemet, will feature his heady, floor-stomping mix of afrobeat-inspired jazz.
