A Barnet has been named Britain's cutest Jewish pet in a competition.

Mini Goodman, an adorable pooch belonging to Zac Goodman, of Hampstead Garden Suburb, was the victor in the Jewish Blind and Disabled Petron competition, beating cats, a rabbit, tortoise and baby chicken to the title.

The pup, who was crowned after judging by comedian Ashley Blaker, will now receive a goodie bag from PetsPyjamas.

Mr Goodman said: "Mini’s really enjoying her new celebrity status in the Jewish dog community.

"More importantly she is delighted to support such a worthwhile cause, enabling people to live independently who might otherwise lead restricted and even isolated lives."

The charity's Petron campaign has been running for almost two years, which supports the work of the charity in providing mobility apartments for people from the age of 18 and upwards who are physically disabled or vision impaired.
