BEERS from the UK as well as Australia, the US, South Africa, Sweden and Spain will be available at three pubs in Ealing borough during a drinkers' festival.

The Red Lion & Pineapple in Acton High Street, the Sir Michael Balcon in The Mall, Ealing, and the Greenwood Hotel in Whitton Avenue West, Northolt, will each be serving up to 30 beers during the Wetherspoons festival, from October 11-22. All beers will be £2.19 a pint.

The line-up includes seasonal and speciality beers, as well as those brewed exclusively for the festival. There are ales flavoured with pink grapefruit, coffee, chocolate, tobacco and toffee.

The overseas beers are; St Erik’s Midnight Sun (Sweden), Young Henry’s Newtowner (Australia), Arcadia Autumn Wheat (US), Cerveza Fort Oatmeal Porter (Spain) and Zululand Pale Ale (South Africa).

The UK beers include; Chocca Mocca (Cotleigh Brewery), Banana Bread Beer (Charles Wells), Green Hop Monster (Rudgate), Dark Side of the Moon (Truman’s), Trojan Horse (Caledonian) and Steampunk (Vale Brewery).

Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a pint.

Sir Michael Balcon manager Maja Lubkowska said: “The festival will be the perfect way for real ale enthusiasts to enjoy a range of excellent beers over 12 days.”

Tasting notes on all beers will be available.
