EALING North remains a Labour seat after Stephen Pound secured a comfortable victory in the General Election.
Mr Pound raced had a majority of 12,326 votes over Conservative rival Thomas O’Malley, with UKIP’s Afzal Akram third.

Mr Pound has held the seat for 18 years after replacing Harry Greenway (Conservative) in 1997. He was predicted to maintain a comfortable majority after winning more than 50% of the votes in 2010.
He has promised to fight the proposed closure of services at Ealing Hospital, an issue which may have swung votes for Labour.
