AN officer attached to Ealing Police was this week dismissed without notice from the Met Police following a special case hearing chaired by Assistant Commissioner Martin Hewitt.
The hearing found that PC Matthew Harries, 36, breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour by discreditable conduct.
In October, he appeared at Southwark Crown Court and was found guilty of an assault committed in 2013.
He was sentenced to six months in prison and ordered to pay the victim £80.
