Youth Theatre is for school years 7 – 11 and is split into two groups (Seniors 1 and Seniors 2), on Wednesdays at 4.15pm and 6pm. Each class is 1 hour 30 minutes long and places are £97 for a ten week term.

If Norden Farm, in Maidenhead, is allowed to reopen during the term, the sessions will return to The Farm and be delivered live.

The exhilarating sessions have been programmed by Karen with the new online way of working specifically in mind and are ideal for children missing drama or theatre classes at school or who want to try something different during home schooling.

Building on the devising skills developed over the previous autumn term, the groups will begin to develop their understanding of ensemble in performance.

Using extracts from published texts as a starting point to create their own original Youth Theatre ensemble performance to be performed in the Spring.

Karen Wallace-Jones is a professionally trained actor and qualified drama teacher.

She has worked in arts and education for over twenty years.

She has had a varied career from acting alongside Ross Kemp in an ITV drama to running her own drama business to leading the creative arts department in a SEN school.

Karen says she loves working with young people to share her love of theatre and the power of the imagination.

Meanwhile, Jane Hibbs trained at East15 Acting School and has a first class honours degree in Acting and Community Theatre.

She has been a workshop facilitator for five years, working with groups aged from three months to over 80 and runs drama sessions at an SEN school.
