Scarecrow trail created to help Stokenchurch Primary School

Across Stokenchurch, more than 50 scarecrows have appeared as part of a trail which has been organised by Friends of Stokenchurch Primary School PTA, with the proceeds going towards the school.

The trail, which started on 12 April and ends on 25 April, was created to provide a fun activity for children and their families to enjoy over the Easter school holidays.

There are lots of scarecrows on show in Stokenchurch

The fundraiser has been supported by Tim Anning at The Wye Estate Agents, includes a wide range of creative scarecrows.

This is to try and help Stokenchurch Primary School

The objects can be found using the trail map, which costs £2 from springscarecrowtrail@gmail.com and justgiving.com/campaign/SPSscarecrowtrail or from Coffee on the Green (Wednesday-Saturday 9am-2pm).

Nick Stevens, Headteacher at Stokenchurch Primary said: “The community spirit in Stokenchurch is fantastic.

Anyone feeling a bit peckish?

“We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of those making a scarecrow to support the event.

“Funds raised will make a huge difference to the school.

“The trail is such fun and provides a safe activity for people of all ages to enjoy in the spring sunshine.”

There were many recognisable characters

One family said: “We had a fab time, well done to everyone who made such a fabulous effort with their scarecrows.”
