Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section

14 (1) Temporary Road Closure Brewers Lane, Richmond
(Ref: 22/143)

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a water connection they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Brewers Lane, Richmond.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Brewers Lane between its junction with George Street and a point outside the south-eastern boundary of No. 3 Brewers Lane.

3. The order will come into effect on 6 July 2022. The works are anticipated to be in progress at all times between 6 July 2022 and 8 July 2022. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be affected available via Richmond Green and Duke Street.

5. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water utility works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Parkleys Parade, Ham.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Parkleys Parade between its junctions with Parkleys and Cranmer Court.

3. The order will come into effect on 27 June 2022. The works are anticipated to be in progress at all times between 27 June 2022 and 30 June 2022. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

14 (1) Temporary Road Closure Whitton Road, Twickenham

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cover replacement works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Whitton Road, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Whitton Road between the northern kerb-line of Chertsey Road and the southern kerb-line of Rugby Road.

3. The order will come into effect on 30 June 2022. The works are anticipated to be in progress between 21.00 and 23.59 on 30 June 2022. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow For unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Rugby Road, Mogden Lane, Twickenham Road, London Road, Chertsey Road and Whitton Road.

5. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

14 (1) Temporary Restrictions Evelyn Road, Richmond

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate development works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary restriction of traffic in Evelyn Road, Richmond.

2. Whilst the works take place, two-way working will be permitted in Evelyn Road between its junction with Kew Foot Road and the entrance to the Richmond Royal Hospital site.

3. The order will come into effect on 4 July 2022. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 4 July 2022 until 3 January 2023 and whilst signs/cones are in place. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

14 (1) Temporary Road Closures Hampton Court Road, Hampton Court

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate the installation and removal of a temporary footbridge and other works in connection with the Hampton Court Garden Show they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which is that a section of Hampton Court Road will be closed to traffic on two occasions as set out below.

2. The section of road to be closed extends from the roundabout outside Hampton Court Palace (the junction of A309 Hampton Court Way and A308 Hampton Court Road) to its junction with Campbell Road, Hampton Court.

3. The dates and times when these road closures are anticipated to be in force are:-

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand in the roads detailed in the schedule, between the dates indicated. The restrictions will operate on a rolling basis.

3. The order will come into effect on 1 July 2022. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 1 July 2022 until 25 September 2022. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Road traffic regulation act 1984 - section 16a the london borough of richmond upon thames (special events) (various street parties) (no. 5) order 2022

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the 20th June 2022, made the above Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of this Order is to facilitate the holding of street parties on various borough roads to allow residents to celebrate within their communities

3. The streets which will be closed are listed in the Schedule to this notice. Full details of the lengths of street which will be closed and times when the closures will be in force will be contained in the order referred to in the next paragraph.

4. Copies of the Order-la) can be inspected until 31 December 2022, quoting Reference

22/142 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and (b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at

4. An alternative route for eastbound traffic (Hampton Court Bridge towards Kingston Bridge) is via A308 Hampton Court Road (westwards); A311 Church Street; High Street, Hampton; High Street, Hampton

Hill; A313 Hampton Road; Broad Street; High Street Teddington; A310 Kingston Road; Upper Teddington Road and High Street, Hampton Wick. An alternative route for westbound traffic will be as above but in the reverse direction. This route is not suitable for vehicles over 15 feet and 9 inches (4.8 metres) high on account of a low bridge in High Street, Hampton Wick.
5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1) Temporary Parking Suspension Kew Green, Kew

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate the installation of equipment to Kew Gardens and maintain access to Ferry Lane for large vehicles, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Kew Green, Kew.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person may permit a vehicle to wait or stand in the 2 parking places sited on Kew Green on the south-east side immediately to the east of Ferry Lane and the 2 parking places sited on Kew Green on the south-east side immediately to the west of Ferry Lane. These restrictions shall operate at all times throughout the week from 27 June 2022 until 14 July 2022 inclusive.

3. The order will come into effect on 27 June 2022. The provisions of the Order will be in force on the dates and times detailed in Paragraph 2 above. The restrictions will be in force whilst signs and/or cones are in place. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
