I was born in the French celtic province of Brittany, looking West. My parents thought there couldn’t be a better babysitter than Charlie Chaplin’s comedies. I graduated from high school with a baccalaureat in literature shortly after Shakespeare in Love came out. When Cate Blanchett got nominated for a golden globe for Veronica Guerin, I was studying English Literature as a major and poetry as a minor, in the University of La Sorbonne in Paris.

After seeing Mona Lisa Smile, the romantic idea of teaching started lurking in my mind and I got on the Graduate Teacher Programme advertised by the British Council at the university, and tought French and Spanish for a year in Peterborough. Although the teaching part was a reenactment of Chucky vs The Exorcist, I was able to make some money and was finally able to head for Hollywood. I attended the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, in Universal Studios.

I came back from LA to London to start my filmmaking career and ended up, by a stroke of destiny, living at the Questors Theatre, and working in Ealing Studios, where the world famous comedies were shot. The initial lack of money forced me to get entertained locally and realize the potential of Ealing’s nights!

You’ll find here Ealing as viewed by a young foreign woman, and hopefully we can share ideas, tips, and stories to give Ealing and its surrounding a more personal feel.

Flava's; food; cocktail;

In a frantic search of a place that would show the Manchester games, my boyfriend and I wandered into the newly refurbished Flava's. The shisha garden seemed quite cozy and warm, on the right hand side of the door, and the new terrace on the left. We ventured in to ask one of the 5 gorgeous girls smiling behind the bar, which soccer games they were showing. The manager came to the rescue with the correct answer, and the correct smile: "the one You want". We settled for the booth closest to the TV and to the toilets, quite happy in our new found living room away from home.

Wall-E, a review

The last born of the union between Disney and Pixar is one of the small goggle-eyed robots, created to clean Earth out while humans (North Americans) have gone on a long term waste-free space cruise. But in 700 years, Mankind has forgotten about their home planet, and turned to artificial intelligence to master daily life: sleeping, autotransporting and feeding themselves in armchairs.
