9:01pm Thursday 18th September 2008

England flanker James Haskell has been charged with head-butting an opponent during Wasps' 11-10 Guinness Premiership defeat to Worcester last Sunday.

Haskell will face a Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing on Monday along with team-mate Richard Birkett, who has been charged with stamping.

The minimum recommended entry-level punishment for a head-butt is six weeks with the maximum possible sanction a two-year ban.

The RFU's disciplinary panel will comprise His Honour Judge Jeff Blackett (chairman), Peter Budge and Jeff Probyn.
