Glee star Jane Lynch has confessed sometimes even she is shocked by some of the things her character Sue Sylvester says.
The actress won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of the outspoken, politically incorrect, unsympathetic cheerleading coach, but revealed sometimes she has to refuse to say some of the shocking lines written for her.
Jane confessed: "The funny thing about it, at the first draft of the script there's always something in there I have to go 'I can't say this' - there was something about skinning a cat once - I can't talk about skinning a cat!"
She added: "Every week I'm shocked and delighted and very, very happy that Ian Brennan, who created my character and basically writes all my lines, came up with this idea."
She also told how she is sometimes surprised by fans quoting her lines back at her when they recognise her in the street.
She revealed: "Not a lot. Though someone came up to me today and said 'that's how Sue sees it'. And I was walking by some kids and they said one of my lines and I thought they were talking to me, and I went, 'what?!'. I can't remember what the line was, and then I realise 'Oh, they were quoting Sue Sylvester', whatever."
