QPR's Damion Stewart has apologised after he was involved in a training ground bust-up with team mates while on international duty with Jamaica.
The Rangers defender became involved in a scrap between Stoke's Ricardo Fuller and his younger brother Demar last Thursday.
Stewart, who was signed from Bradford in 2006, said he felt like "we let everyone down".
It is reported that Fuller reacted angrily to a series of challenges from Demar Stewart, the two were said to have exchanged words and then became involved in a physical exchange, at which point Damion Stewart was said to have stepped in.
"Everyone knows the importance of the game. Things got out of hand and we kind of feel like we let everyone down," the QPR player said.
"This is not the kind of example we want to be setting for the kids, it is just that we let our emotions boil over. The issue was settled though, everything is fine and we are now focused on the task."
The trio were said to have put the incident behind them in time for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Mexico, which Jamaica won 1-0 thanks to a Fuller goal.
