Brief shower his Wimbledon
2:17pm Wednesday 4th July 2012 in National Sport © Press Association 2013
Play began on Centre Court at 1pm before a shower sent the court covers into action
Rain briefly disrupted play at Wimbledon on Wednesday as the men's quarter-finals got under way.
Play began as scheduled on Centre Court and Court One at 1pm but they managed only half an hour before a shower sent the court covers into action.
The Centre Court roof was again open, with the weather expected to improve as the day went on, and it was only 10 minutes before the sun came out and the covers were taken off.
Roger Federer and Mikhail Youzhny had managed five games on Centre, with the six-time winner leading 4-1, while defending champion Novak Djokovic was 4-3 ahead on serve against Germany's Florian Mayer.
