After another league loss on Saturday night against Essex and Herts Leopards London United managed to pull back some pride and stop the rot with a road win at Worcester in the National Trophy semi finals.

Although the 14 point victory at 88-74 was not enough to see them through to the finals after their 38 point home defeat the previous week.

The win will serve as a boost to help raise morale after United have suffered numerous injuries to key players after the Christmas break.

United lost to Leopards by 3 points at 65-68 although had the chance to win the game and close out the Leopards on numerous occasions in the last quarter. Missed lay-ups and lack of cohesion helped hand the game to the hardworking Leopards who also had their chances to put the game to bed themselves on a number of occasions.

This being United 3rd loss in the league puts them in a similar position to all of their close rivals in the League except for Reading who have played less games but still have not lost in the League.

United play away to Sheffield on Saturday although face a home game against local rivals London Capitals on Sunday 22nd January at Brunel Osterley with a 4pm tip off and tickets as usual are available on the door.
