Rotherham United at home is first up for Brentford in the Championship after the fixtures for the 2018-19 Football League campaign were released on Thursday morning.

The Bees host newly-promoted Rotherham United on August 4 hoping to burst the bubble of the Millers, who will ply their trade in the Championship after defeating Shrewsbury Town after extra time at the League One play-off final in May.

The first away match of the season is at Stoke City on August 11, who will be looking to bounce back from Premier League relegation under new boss Gary Rowett.

Other notable fixtures see Dean Smith’s side on the road again on Boxing Day, away at Bristol City, before entertaining Norwich City on New Year’s Day.

Should the Griffin Park outfit still have the fate in their own hands on the final game of the season on May 5, they must negotiate a home match against Preston North End, who mounted a strong play-off challenge last time around.

West London clashes await Brentford against QPR at Loftus Road on November 10 before the return leg on home soil on March 2.
