Tim Visser insists Harlequins will not be overawed by Bath’s style of rugby when the two sides meet at The Rec on Saturday.

Todd Blackadder’s Bath side sit fourth in the Premiership on 24 points with five wins from eight matches, while John Kingston’s Quins outfit are four points behind in seventh.

And with just six points separating Leicester in third and Newcastle in ninth, the Premiership table is currently looking a very tight affair.

Injury-hit Quins fell to defeat at reigning champions Exeter last time out but Scotland wing Visser has hailed the unity of the side, which he believes can upset the apple cart in the south west at the weekend.

“Training’s been really good, we’ve got a really tight-knit group at the moment, all the players are enjoying being here and we’re working really hard for each other,” said the 30-year-old, who joined Quins from Edinburgh in 2015.

“We’re going into Bath with a lot of confidence. They’ve got quality throughout and they’ve shown that in the past couple of seasons.

“We’ve always played really good rugby there but we’re aware of their backline threat.

“They’ve got good wingers, good distributors and they play rugby which is fun to watch. But we can’t stand about and watch them, we need to get stuck into them.”
