Hoops ace Luke Freeman praised the ‘chemistry’ of QPR’s midfield trio after being reunited with midfield partners Massimo Luongo and Josh Scowen last night.

Freeman scored a thumping equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Barnsley at Oakwell, a 25-yard left-foot screamer that left Adam Davies no chance in the Tykes goal.

The Rangers midfield triumvirate has earned plaudits from all quarters this season, but Luongo was unavailable for the weekend’s goalless draw with Burton Albion and Scowen missed the trip to Middlesbrough.

Freeman was pleased to have both back last night: “We’ve been riddled with injuries over the last month so it’s been difficult for us.

“I enjoy playing with them, we have good chemistry and we play well with each other, it makes my job a lot easier playing with those two boys.”

Rangers had trailed in last night’s game to Harvey Barnes’ 20th minute goal, but gave a spirited second-half performance that was rewarded with Freeman’s 88th minute leveller.

The result leaves QPR 13th in the Championship table, with Friday’s date with west London Neighbours Fulham next on the calendar.

The draw extends the Hoops run without an away win to 12 games, and Freeman was pleased to earn a point despite conceding an unfortunate first goal.

"You’ve just got to keep on going,” said the midfielder. “You’ve got to be positive, resilient and keep on doing the right things because inevitably it should go your way, but it doesn’t always.

"It’s tough because we feel like we probably deserved to win there.

“On any other day you’re letting people shoot from 30 yards because you’ve got numbers behind the ball, but we’ve cleared it and it’s just our luck that someone has put it in the top right-hand corner.

"It’s just how it is, we’ve got to keep doing the right things which is why we at least deserve the point we got."
