THE signing of Jamie Roberts rightly has Harlequins fans excited and England star Ben Foden is convinced they are a match made in heaven.

Roberts will join 2012 Premiership Quins following September’s World Cup, after spending two years at Racing Metro in France.

The 28-year-old centre, a decorated Wales international and veteran of two British and Irish Lions tours, should make his new club a force again, says Foden.

“Quins have made good signings and are a side that can turn it on – they’ve got match-winners throughout their team,” said Foden, who has 34 England caps.

“This year hasn’t really gone their way but I’m sure they’ll bounce back. I don’t think they’d be signing Jamie Roberts if they didn’t think they could do something special next year.

“Jamie is a good friend of mine – I’m sure he enjoyed his time in the sun, drinking coffee and eating croissants!

“But he will relish the challenge of coming to Quins and I think they have been calling out for an inside centre for a while now. He’ll get his head down and hopefully do some good things there.”

Foden is helping launch the Find the Flag competition for Emirates, an Official Worldwide Partner for Rugby World Cup 2015.

Emirates will be challenging teenagers in host cities around England and Wales to find a hidden flag.

Emirates ‘Find the Flag’ competition is encouraging young fans (14-16) to celebrate rugby coming to their home city. By locating the hidden flag and sharing a selfie, they will have a chance to be an official flag bearer at Rugby World Cup 2015. Visit Emirates social channels to follow the flag.
