Little Britain's weight loss expert Marjorie Dawes would have been proud this week as Brentford returned to official pre-season training on Monday without breaking the scales.
Boss Andy Scott had the players in over the last two weeks for some behind-closed-doors fitness sessions as he bids to get the season off to a flying start.
The Griffin Park manager has signed a host of players with pace this summer suggesting fans can look forward to an exciting brand of football.
Scott has revealed the players will not be held back by excess baggage when it comes to kicking-off pre-season preparations next week.
And with so many new faces to integrate into the squad he hasn't ruled out a host of team bonding sessions should time allow.
"We looked very closely at how pres-season training would shape up and players had to attend at least two sessions before we officially came back on Monday to break them," he said.
"I'm delighted to say every single player came back under their target weights and the fat testing results have been excellent as well.
"I'm very aware of the need to gel the team and we will be looking at recovery rates and fitness levels to see when we can fit in some rest days.
"We are playing it by ear, but when we get the chance there will be some team bonding sessions outside of the training environment."
