Brentford scored their second late equaliser in the space of four days to earn a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Yoane Wissa's 88th-minute header cancelled out Wilfried Zaha's excellent opener to earn the Bees a share of the spoils for the third time in five games this season.

Here's how the visiting players fared in South London...

David Raya - 6

Could do nothing to stop Zaha's goal, which nestled perfectly into the top corner.

Had little to do beyond the routine to do elsewhere, keeping out tame efforts from Jeffrey Schlupp and Michael Olise which were straight at him from range, and his distribution was excellent.

Aaron Hickey - 7

A game of two halves for the Scot, who kept Zaha quiet in the first half and threw his body in the way to block a goalbound 34th-minute effort.

He will rue not getting tighter to the winger before his superb finish, while Hickey was later booked for a cynical pull on the shirt as Zaha’s influence grew.

Mathias Jorgensen - 6

Proved a threat at set pieces, though he could have perhaps done more with a header back across goal midway through the first half having evaded the home defence.

Stayed alert to deny Zaha from a late Palace breakway, keeping his cool when the Palace goalscorer repeatedly shoved the defender – who was not best pleased with how the winger had gone down.

Ben Mee - 7

The centre-half’s primary impact came in the Palace box, Mee hitting the bar with a diving header three minutes into injury time having earlier sent an acrobatic volley flying over with 12 minutes to play.

Defended solidly, though far tougher tests than Jean-Philippe Mateta await.

Rico Henry - 6

Carried out his defensive duties diligently and prevented a Palace breakaway with a timely intervention on Zaha in the first half.

Always an outlet going forward, though quality let him down at times in the final third – most notably in added time when a fine chance to win it was fired straight at the goalkeeper.

Vitaly Janelt - 8

The scorer on Saturday turned provider this time around, setting up the equaliser with a fine cross for Wissa having been shifted to left-back for the closing stages to accommodate the visitors’ attacking changes.

He had earlier been first to everything in the midfield in an efficient first half, breaking up countless Palace attacks and using possession solidly if unspectacularly – until his late assist.

Mathias Jensen - 7

Effective in possession, Jensen set up the first chance of the match with an excellent sweeping long ball to Bryan Mbeumo.

A delicate free-kick later set up Toney, who swiped at thin air, though Jensen was fortunate to avoid greater punishment when he was dispossessed inside his own box only for Schlupp’s shot to head straight at Raya.

Shandon Baptiste - 6

A lively and energetic first half included a fine ball in behind for Rico Henry which could have led to more.

He got in behind the Palace defence early in the second period but his ball across was behind Lewis-Potter and he then contributed little before being taken off.

Bryan Mbeumo - 5

The man the Bees looked to in order to ignite a spark in their flat display but his end product was lacking throughout.

Would have liked to have found himself one-on-one more with Joel Ward, playing on his uncomfortable wrong side, but wasted a promising opportunity in that exact scenario just before being substituted.

Ivan Toney - 5

Skipper on the night and fought hard. Linked play nicely but found chances at a premium, mis-hitting his clearest chance from a Jensen free-kick.

Was later booked for a cynical lunge on Joachim Andersen.

Keane Lewis-Potter - 5

The 21-year-old was making his full Premier League debut but never properly got into the contest.

Showed a few nice touches without making much in the way of impact and was withdrawn midway through the second half.

Substitutes

Josh Dasilva (for Lewis-Potter 68’) - 6

Had Brentford’s first shot on target within minutes of coming on but it was straight at Vicente Guaita.

Mikkel Damsgaard (for Baptiste 68’) - 6

Gave the Bees more of a presence in the final third for the final 22 minutes, winning his fair share of flick-ons and linking play nicely.

Frank Onyeka (for Mbeumo 68’) – 5

A quiet cameo from the Nigerian, who struggled to get into the game after being introduced.

Yoane Wissa (for Jensen 79’) – 7

Took his goal expertly, giving Guaita no chance by steering his header into the top corner having found himself unmarked.

Saman Ghoddos (for Hickey 79’) – 6

Didn’t match the impact of his fellow substitute Wissa, with little chance to make an impression on the ball.
