SOUTHALL Town took on Hellenic League Premier Division leaders Gloucester United last Saturday at the Warren, and put up their finest performance of the season.
Town played well and again had the lion's share of the game to finish with a deserved point neither team scoring.
The first half was fairly even. After the interval the Town dominated the game and after 80 minutes Christian Glynn picked up a long pass from Lavender in the Town goal and made an impressive solo run down the centre of the field beating five defenders, eventually being brought down in the box.
From the resulting penalty Ross Christie had his shot saved by United's Tom King to deny them the win.
