Queens Park Rangers caretaker manager Gareth Ainsworth says their defeat to Burnley on Saturday swung on the decisions of the referee.

The R's led 1-0 through Dexter Blackstock but Burnley, fresh from a huge upset over Chelsea, recovered to win through goals from Robbie Blake and Alan Mahon.

QPR were incensed after goalscorer Blackstock was sent tumbling to the ground but no penalty was awarded.

Ainsworth said: "I've seen the tape back and the ball moved forward, Dexter got taken down and in my opinion, that's a penalty.

"I think the ref got it wrong and I think there were a few things he got wrong for both teams.

"But for me, the whole game changed on the referee's decision not to award the penalty at such a crucial stage of the game."
