LONDON Broncos had to go all the way to South Wales to secure their first home win of the season.

The Broncos have failed to win a game at Griffin Park all year but, with repairs taking place on the pitch at the moment, they were forced to play Saturday's game against Widness Vikings at Aberavon's 'World of Hurt' Stadium.

The seven-try performance means that Broncos leapfrog Widness and move into sixth place in the Tetley's Super League.

After going down to a try from former Bronco Shane Millard, London rallied with trys from Bill Peden, Chris Thorman, Tommy Gallagher, and Dennis Moran and a brace from Paul Sykes to give them a 34-6 first half lead.

The Vikings pegged them back with two converted tries after the interval before Moran crossed again, following fine work by Tony Martin. The makeshift full back has now scored eight tries in his last three games.

Meanwhile the ongoing pitch repairs at Griffin Park has meant that Broncos' match against Huddersfield Giants, which was originally scheduled for June 22, has been postponed and is likely to be played in August.
